The Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund, Inc., (Trust) was created in 1992 by the stockholders of Alabama Power Company. The primary purpose of the Trust is to help lowincome families and individuals who need assistance paying their energy bills.

Through financial assistance and home energy improvements,the Trust seeks to meet the needs of low-income Alabamians who are experiencing temporary financial emergencies. Themore flexible income requirements of the Trust 175 percent of federal poverty guidelines allow it to help people who are almost, but not quite, eligible for assistance from other sources.
