Assistance.

The ABC Trust covers 60 counties in central and
south Alabama. Through financial assistance and home energy improvements, the Trust seeks to meet the needs of low-income Alabamians who are experiencing temporary financial emergencies. Themore flexible income requirements of the Trust 175 percent of federal poverty guidelines allow it to help people who are almost, but not quite, eligible for assistance from other sources. Another benefit of the Trust is that its funds are considered matching leveraged dollars under federal rules and regulations and thus qualify the state to receive additional federal dollars. The impact the Trust has on the state’s economy means even more needy Alabama families can be helped. The Trust is administered by community action agencies and other social service agencies in the 60-county area of central and south Alabama. about THE WEBSITE This website contains the official guidelines and eligibility requirements of the programs funded by the Trust.
